Abstract:

The general restriction and shortage of fossil energy fuels has offered climb to the pressing requirement of exploiting optional energy sources. The sudden jump in utilization of petroleum products during the recent two decades has expanded all that much and the storage of petroleum and different wellsprings of energy are quick exhausting. Any nation's energy necessities generously met from the petroleum and coal divisions. Petroleum, natural gas and coal supply more than 80% of the nation’s need. Most masters concur that coal and whole hydrocarbon value chain uniquely petroleum, regular gas, CBM, oil shale, shale gas and gas hydrate will assume key part in our energy future.

Productivity is the point where human skills and interests, technology, management, and the social and business environment all converge. The upstream petroleum industry needs to accomplish productivity picks up urgently. Role of enhancing productivity is vital for the oil, gas and coal sector. Propelled technology, advanced enhanced recovery method and expertise improvement programs are now considered to be the best conceivable measures to enhance production and productivity. The productivity improvement in the oil gas and coal sector depends not only on the resources, but on numerous other factors such as improving policy guidelines, development of environmentally acceptable technologies, and exploitation of the available energy resources with adequate attention towards commercial viability, which are now focus points of the agenda. Attain the future production targets oil, gas and coal industry needs to enhance its production by Investing in "Technology, People & System" which are also called three mainstays of productivity. Nevertheless, well designed upstream productivity enhancement plans and better recovery methods may result in greater overall returns than the finding and the development of an additional field.
